We are a small, non-profit Rabbit and Guinea Pig rescue, covering the West Midlands and Worcestershire! We rehome across the UK.

Bunnies and Piggies in Need UK is run entirely by volunteers. All our bunnies and piggies are cared for in foster homes, allowing us to get to know our animals really well, enabling us to pass information on to you, so you can choose the perfect new addition to your family.

We are an ethical small animal rescue, meaning we put animal welfare first. Our ethos is to rescue, rehabilitate, rehome and educate. We neuter and vaccinate all our bunnies prior to rehoming and follow the RWAF and RSPCA minimum welfare guidelines for rehoming. We neuter all male piggies prior to rehoming.

We currently have 50+ bunnies in our care! That is a lot of mouths to feed, a lot of vaccinations, and lots of treats! Our bunnies love their enrichment too. If you could spare a few pounds, we would be forever grateful!

Donations

With so many mouths to feed and so many animals who need enrichment, if you have any bags of food or hay, any toys, tunnels, houses etc. that you wish to donate, please email us or message our Facebook page to arrange a drop off to one of our foster homes.

Fundraising

Fancy raising some much needed funds? Maybe you want to complete a fun-run, a marathon, a triathlon, complete 10,000 steps a day for a month, swim so many miles, complete the three peak challenge, or plan on having a bake sale. Get in touch and let us know! We'd be eternally grateful.

Keiren

This cute bunny is Keiren. He is one of our newbies, dad to all the babies we rescued from a nursery!

Keiren is a small lionhead cross with a dutch, who has a lovely temperament.

He is around 1-2 years old and is very friendly. Keiren is an inquisitive bunny but can be quite shy too, his fosterers are sure he will come out of his shell soon.

He is currently being fostered in the Birmingham area, and would be a suitable house or outdoor bunny, with a suitable partner!

Keiren has been health checked by a vet, has been neutered and is fully vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

Kenny

This gorgeous boy is Ken, Kenny or Kenneth, depending on which side of the hay he has gotten out of!

Kenny was found as a stray munching his way around an allotment - a real life Peter Rabbit!

Kenny is a friendly, confident bunny with a big personality. We are unsure of his age, but we estimate he is under two years old.

Kenny has been health checked by a vet, neutered and vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2. He is looking for a home with a neutered female rabbit for company.

Mercedes

Beautiful Mercedes is back up for rehoming for the third time and hopefully this is the last time.

Mercedes really does desperately need a friend however due to past experience we know she needs a large breed confident neutered male bunny. Mercedes is a very affectionate bunny, how loves to groom her bunny friend however she can also be a little bossy.

She is a confident friendly girl, who will happily take treats, she does hate being picked up so will need a home where this is kept to an absolute minimum.

Matcha

Matcha is an adorable male bunny who is looking for a forever home. At the moment, Matcha is terrified, but our amazing foster team are working closely with him to show him he can trust them.

Matcha has been health checked by a vet, been neutered and has been vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

He is looking to be rehomed with a neutered and vaccinated female.

Hazel

Hazel is looking for a special home as she has had a really tough time.

Hazel was removed from a house with lots of other Rabbits by an RSPCA inspector as they were not being cared for properly.

She does have a head tilt, and has received treatment for EC. Hazel is a lovely, calm, friendly bunny who appears to take everything in her stride.

Troy

Troy (Grey) arrived in rescue with his mom and his siblings from other litters!

Troy is a typical young bunny who is full of energy, loves his enrichment and is a very inquisitive bunnies.

Brambles

Little Brambles came to us from a horror house with lots of other bunnies, where she wasn’t being cared for properly. We had to spend weeks, getting her fit and well enough for her spay. Unfortunately, her spay did not go to plan, and she ended up having a second operation hours after her spay. It was a very touch and go moment, but our volunteers worked around the clock to nurse her back to good health.

Brambles is a fighter, so she wasn’t going to let this stop her having the best life possible and she pulled through! She is now ready to take on the world and find a loving home with a loving bunny friend.

Brambles is a calm and gentle bunny who loves her hay! She is fully litter trained, sleeps on her fluffy blanket and is alway swaiting at the front of her pen for treats!

Brambles has been health checked by a vet, neutered and vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

We are looking for a small, calm male bunny to bond with Brambles.

Bracken

Bracken is a beautiful dutch boy, who arrived in our care from a property where breeding had gotten out of control. He is a lovely bunny who takes everything in his stride.

He is happy to take trats from his fosterer and is beginning to enjoy having some fuss too!

Bracken is fully litter trained and loves to keep his house nice and tidy.

Bracken has been health checked by a vet, neutered and vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

We think Bracken would make an amazing house bunny, but he is currently living outdoors so could suit that lifestyle too!

Holly and Penny

Holly and Penny were born in our care when their mother arrived at the rescue pregnant. These girls are sisters!

Holly and Penny are beautiful playful bunnies who both bring endless enjoyment to their foster family, as they watch them play and explore!

They both love their food and get very excited when they know food is on the way. They both love their hay and will dive into fresh hay.

They are both confident enough to take food from their fosterer’s hand and enjoy some head rubs, but picking up needs to be kept to a minimum as they’re is not keen on this.

Holly and Penny have both been health checked by a vet, neutered and vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

Brian and Barbara

They arrived into our care recently and have always lived as spoit , free roam house bunnies, so we are looking to replicate this in their new home.

Brian is the tan Nethie with a typical nethie attitude, Barbara is the adorable blue-eyed lionhead.

They’re both litter trained, none destructive (paws crossed this continues), and all round lovely bunnies who need to be part of a family!

Brian and Barbara have both been health checked by a vet, have been neutered and vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

Eramus and Darwin

Eramus and Darwin were found as stray bunnies at just 8 weeks old and were handed into our local vets. They are a gorgeous pair of bunnies who are super friendly, confident and an absolute joy to care for.

Eramus and Darwin have been health checked by a vet, neutered and are fully vaccinated against Myxomatosis, RVHD and RVHD2.

Rupert and Jessica

Rupert and Jessica are a lovely pair of bunnies who arrived in our care after they were abandoned at a HMO after their owner moved out. Before we rescued them they had, had a litter of babies, but sadly they passed away. They are both very cheeky and need lots of enrichment ot keep them busy. They are both shy but do like a gentle head rub and we think after some time with our fosterer, they will come out of their shell.

Valentine

Gorgeous Valentine is looking for his forever home. This handsome boy was found on valentines day cold, wet and very scared.

He has now blossomed into a confident, friendly outgoing boys with oodles of personality, but doesn’t like being picked up.

Lucky is a handsome 4 month old rex! Lucky was found stuck in some mud in a field with other bunnies by a passer by. He is very lucky to be alibe as we didn’t think he would make it through the first night with us as he was very cold and wet.

Carys is a very pretty bunny who arrived into our care after her owners realised they could not offer her the home she deserved.

Sadly, Carys has spent a few weeks of her life living in a hamster cage eating nothing but lettuce.

Unfortunately, 2 days into her time with us, Carys had 6 gorgeous babies who were just too small and sadly passed away.

She is a sweet natured, gentle bunny who is slowly adjusting to life as a foster bunny.

Doodles is the daddy bunny from the rescue operation published by the Express and Star. An RSPCA Inspector found a family of 7 bunnies who had been dumped in a bin in January!

Doodles is a happy go, lucky bun, who will binky around at any given opportunity. Doodles could live indoors or outdoors, and is looking for a female bunny to share his life with!

Luna is a beautiful bunny who was previously adopted from us, but unfortunately she has recently lost her partner, and has been returned to our care.

Maru is a stunning 8 year old female who has sadly found herself back in rescue after 4 years in a fab home due to her lifelong friend sadly passed away. Maru is exceptionally friendly, used to being the centre of someone world and all around lovely bunny.

She is used to living in a shed with attached aviary so we are looking to rehome her to something similar or as a house bunny.

Zebbie (Lionhead Cross) and Burrows arrived in rescue with their mom and their other siblings from other litters!

These 2 boys totally love each other! They are siblings and ready for a new home. They love to run and binky and are happy to take treats, and when they know you head rubs too. If you want bunnies full of energy and funny to watch, these boys are for you!

Burrows is definitely the most friendliest, he loves to climb on his fosterer when she’s cleaning them out!

Leo is a lionlop who arrived in our care after being removed from a property where he wasn’t being cared for properly.

On arrival, Leo was a matted mess, to the point where he was unable to walk properly or even open his eyes.

Whilst he still isn’t looking his best (our fosterers definitely wouldn’t make good hair dressers), Leo is now much more comfortable and happier.

Leo is a confident, friendly bunny who is energetic, has an outgoing personality which is beginning to shine through.

Leo is looking for an owner who is willing to groom him regularly. He needs a wife bun to call his own and we think he would suit the house bun lifestyle!

Diego is a lovely boy who is blind in one eye and has undergone an operation on one of his ears to remove some of the ear due to sustaining an injury before arriving into our care. Other than this, he is a lovely bunny who is looking for a loving forever home.
